Fields 2

Fields 2 translates the patterns of an aerial landscape into an abstract composition.  The structured yet organic arrangement of shapes echoes the division of agricultural land, with each section representing a different terrain or texture.

The deep, muted colour palette - featuring shades of blue, green, and earthy grays - evokes a sense of quiet vastness, as if viewing the land from above at dusk or dawn.  The addition of black thread introduces a linear element, reminiscent of plowed rows, roads, or boundary lines.

The composition is balanced yet dynamic, with curved and angular forms interlocking like puzzle pieces. 

The artwork measures 33 x 43cm and was completed in 2022.
