Mariana
Mariana
This abstract painting is inspired by the dramatic contour lines of the Mariana Trench, the deepest part of the world's oceans, located in the western Pacific Ocean.
Using layered shades of blue, turquoise, and deep navy, the composition mirrors the shifting depths and geological formations hidden beneath the waves. The organic, flowing shapes evoke the mystery and vastness of the trench, which plunges over 36,000 feet into the Earth's crust. Subtle textures add depth and dimension, hinting at the unseen landscapes and extreme environments that exist miles below the surface.
The artwork measures 63 x 83 cm and was completed in 2025.
