Pebbles at Kilve

Evolving from photographs taken during a visit, this painting abstracts the essence of the weathered stones found along the shoreline at Kilve Beach in Somerset.   Smooth, rounded shapes overlap and interact against a subtly textured background, creating a sense of depth and quiet movement.  The muted colour palette reflects the natural tones of the pebbles and the surrounding landscape.

The artwork measures 61 x 91 cm and was completed in 2022.
