Threads

This piece is small but mighty!  It explores the interplay of light and texture through the meditative act of stitch.  The varying directions of the stitches create an optical effect, suggesting multiple shades and adding a sense of movement to the flowing, abstract design.  The result is a rhythmical composition that appears to shift and shimmer, framed by the mellow tones of natural wood.

The artwork measures 23 x 28 cm and was completed in 2024.
